When EBV produces neurotoxins, they often travel up to the brain, where they interfere with electrical impulses, which can cause headaches. If you have a really high viral load of EBV plus toxic heavy metals in your system, then migraines can be triggered as a result of EBV flaring up the phrenic and/or vagus nerves. When you also have the shingles virus (it’s possible to have both shingles and the thyroid virus), it can cause inflammation of the trigeminal nerve, which can trigger a migraine that affects the ear, jaw, face, or side of the head.
