Rosemary Lemonade
Fresh, fragrant and sweet, it’s hard to beat the wonderful flavor of this Rosemary Lemonade. This recipe is made only with clean, healing ingredients, and can be enjoyed as much and as often as you’d like!
Rosemary specializes in fighting antibiotic-resistant bacteria, such as those that take hold in hospitals. Bringing this herb into your diet is a game changer if you’re dealing with the sorts of bacteria (such as C. difficile and multi-drug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, or MRSA) that can result in conditions such as megacolon, severe infection, and worse.
The rich calcium levels in lemons and limes bind to the vitamin C within them, and both of these enter into the liver, where they waken a stagnant, sluggish, fatty liver, helping loosen and disperse fat cells. Lemons and limes clean up dirty blood syndrome, improve glucose absorption, and even protect the pancreas.
Rosemary Lemonade
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup raw honey
- 4 sprigs rosemary
- Zest of 2 lemons
- Juice from 2 lemons
- 2-3 cups cold water
- 1-2 cups ice cubes
- 4-5 lemon slices, to serve
Directions:
Combine the water, raw honey, rosemary, and lemon zest in a small saucepan. Place in medium-high heat and stir until the honey has melted to make a syrup. Turn the heat off and set aside for 2-3 hours for the flavors to steep.
Combine the syrup, lemon juice, and cold water in a large jug or pitcher. Stir until evenly mixed.
Divide the ice cubes and lemon slices between serving glasses and top with lemonade. Serve immediately.
