Raw Apple Crumble
Crisp and juicy apples are diced and mixed with raisins, your choice of nuts or gluten-free rolled oats for a fat-free version, warming spices, raw honey and orange juice in this tasty Raw Apple Crumble. The combination of textures and flavors makes this a fantastic, healthy snack or dessert that will satisfy but leave you feeling light.

Raw Apple Crumble
Ingredients:
- 4 red-skinned apples, cored and chopped
- Juice from ½ orange
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Tiny pinch of ground cloves (optional)
- 1-2 tbsp raw honey
Crumble topping:
- ½ cup raw hazelnuts, walnuts or pecans (or use gluten-free rolled oats for a fat-free version)
- ¼ cup raisins
Directions:
Place the chopped apples in a mixing bowl and toss with the orange juice, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, and a tiny pinch of ground cloves if using. Stir gently to coat the apples evenly, then let the mixture sit for a few minutes.
To make the crumble topping, place the nuts or oats and the raisins into a food processor. Pulse a few times until the mixture is finely chopped and crumbly.
Spoon the spiced apple mixture into serving bowls. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apples. Drizzle with raw honey just before serving. Enjoy!
