Pomegranate Bowl
The bright red ruby jewels inside pomegranates standalone in their beauty. This recipe lets the juicy pomegranate arils take center stage, complemented with a touch of raw honey and some freshly squeezed orange juice and orange zest.
Consuming pomegranates helps unclog pores and hair follicles, encouraging hair growth where it’s needed and helping the skin and scalp overall. Pomegranates are also amazing for regulating hormones, because they flush out toxic ones such as unproductive estrogens that contribute to cancers.
Ingredients:
- 1 medium-sized pomegranate
- Juice of ½ orange
- Zest of ½ orange
- 1–2 tbsp raw honey (drizzled on top)
Directions:
Start by cutting the pomegranate in half and carefully removing the seeds. You can do this by tapping the back of the halves with a wooden spoon or gently prying them out with your fingers. Place the seeds in a bowl.
Squeeze the orange juice over the pomegranate seeds, add the orange zest and drizzle raw honey over the top. Stir gently until well mixed.
Serve immediately. Enjoy!
