Made without poor quality oils, refined sugar, preservatives, artificial or natural flavors, and gluten, this granola is a great alternative to processed cereals for the whole family. Coconut meat (and the oil derived from it) is antipathogenic due to its lauric acid content combined with other antioxidants present in it.
Maple syrup contains a vast array of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients (many of them still undiscovered) coupled with high-quality sugar on which the liver thrives.
Maple Vanilla Granola
Ingredients:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300F/150C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine the oats, coconut, and ground flaxseed in a large bowl. Stir until evenly mixed.
Add in the maple syrup, coconut oil, vanilla, and cinnamon. Stir until well incorporated.
Spread the mixture out evenly on the prepared baking sheet to about 1/4 inch thick.
Bake for 25–35 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes without touching the mixture. Then break up into smaller pieces and cool completely.
Serve immediately or keep in an airtight container for up to a week.
