Healing POTS, SIBO, Lyme Disease, Colitis & Trigeminal Neuralgia
A competitive athlete, Megan had symptoms and conditions since early childhood that were quietly building until she hit rock bottom in 2017. She was rapidly losing her life. She had spent over a decade searching for answers and was diagnosed with Lyme disease, colitis, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), SIBO, anxiety, IBS, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), adrenal fatigue, hypothyroid, fibromyalgia, interstitial cystitis (IC), gastroparesis, gastritis, trigeminal neuralgia, multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS), Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), severe insomnia, depression, and more. By implementing Medical Medium information, she made more progress in 18 months than she had over the previous 10 years. Thank you Megan for sharing your story and inspiring so many!
If you or someone you love have been diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), there is likely a lot of confusion surrounding your doctor visits. They may have told you that POTS is an “autoimmune disease” and your body is attacking itself. It’s very important that you know this is not true. Your body never attacks itself. It is always trying to heal. The truth is that POTS is a result of multiple factors affecting the body that together are labeled as POTS. These factors include a viral infection, typically Epstein-Barr virus, along with heavy metal toxicity. These two factors together worsen symptoms because viruses feed off heavy metals and become stronger, producing viral neurotoxins that also inflame the nerves. Very often there’s also adrenal health issues due to the viruses affecting the liver which has in turn impacted the adrenals.
