Berries are an excellent source of iron, magnesium, selenium, zinc, molybdenum, potassium, chromium, and calcium. Berries also have traces of omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 fatty acids. Plus, they have hidden compounds that stop excess adrenaline from causing damage to organs.
This recipe comes from Brain Saver Protocols, Cleanses & Recipes, the companion book to Medical Medium Brain Saver. These two essential books about our most complex organ—the brain—dive deep into why people all over the world are suffering with mental health and brain-related symptoms and conditions. Brain Saver unveils the why behind more than 100 brain and nervous system–related symptoms, diseases, and disorders; Brain Saver Protocols, Cleanses & Recipes reveals the truth about how to heal in even more detail (including cleanses, recipes, supplement protocols, and so much more).
Blackberry & Raspberry Jam Tartlets
Ingredients:
Directions:
To make the crust, place 2 cups of the dates and the dried mulberries in a food processor and process until well combined. Scrape down the sides as needed.
Line five 4-inch mini tart pans with parchment paper or plastic wrap. (This is optional but makes removing the base a lot easier later.) Press the crust mixture evenly into the bottom of the pans and place in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Make the filling by blending together 2 cups of the blackberries or raspberries, the remaining ⅓ cup of dates, and the lemon juice until smooth. Pour into the tart crusts and refrigerate for a further 30 minutes.
Remove the tartlets from the fridge and top with the remaining blackberries or raspberries. Drizzle with raw honey (if using).
Makes 5 servings
